😲  Mon dieu! You've done 13 courses from the Fun French Foundations one 🏗️  to into the 'woulds' 🌳 🌳 🌳. with Connie Conditional one. Now you can finish off the tenses, moods and other grammatical odds and sods with the 🔮 future tense and yes once you've completed this course your French future will be 🔆 brighter. 

If you don't want to do this course there are ways of avoiding the future tense in French. It's actually called the simple future. 

Immediate Future

You could use the present tense to say you're going to do something in the future in French. You can say things like 'I call you later.' Je t'appelle plus tard. ☎️

Or, just like in English you can use 'going' - 'I'm going to call you straight back.' Je vais te rappeler tout de suite. 

Simple Future (WILL)

In this course you'll practise the equivalent of 'will'. In English we can use the auxiliary verb 'will' to convey what on earth we intend to do anytime in the future. 

Madame Claire Voyance who represents the future tense will gaze into her crystal ball 🔮  and will tell you what will happen in the future. 

If you remember Connie Conditional's 'would' equivalent in French was all in the verb endings (ais, ais, ait, ions, iez, aient). Exactly the same thing happens with the Future Tense. Mme Claire Voyance has her special will endings (ai, as, a, ons, ez, ont).

Because these endings (just like for Connie Conditional) are added to the infinitive you get that raspy hairball sound from the 'r' of the infinitive - so you'll hear me wailing in a dramatic fortune teller's voice rai, ra, ras, rons, rez, ront. I fully intend to get on your nerves - just to create an ear worm that will stick in your head.

Anyhow, the other beautiful, glittery, pretty thing that Mme Claire Voyance has in common with Connie Conditional is that they share their gangster irregular verbs! Oui, oui, oui, oui, oui, oui, oui, OUI!! They're exactly the bloomin' same. Happy days! From crystal ball to disco ball!

Future Perfect (will have) - Perfect French! Snort! 

You've done the present perfect - where you used the present tense of avoir/être + past participle - J'ai dormi. 'I have slept.' 😴

You've done the pluperfect where you used the - imperfect tense of avoir/être + past participle. J'avais dormi. 'I had slept.' 😴

Then you did the conditional perfect where you used the - conditional mood of avoir/être + past participle. J'aurais dormi. 'I would've slept.' 😴

Now you'll practise the future perfect where you'll use the future tense of avoir/être + past participle. J'aurai dormi. 'I will have (will've) slept.' 😴

So get into the French zone - put on your beret, stripy top and think of all the French things you love to psych yourself up to learn - roar 🦁 !

Picture yourself conversing in French with confidence - getting compliments and people thanking you for making the effort to speak in French. 

After this course you will probably not speak perfect French - sozza. But you will have covered all the major pieces of the French language puzzle. There will be holes all over the place. The picture will be fuzzy but with plenty practice and if you squint a bit it will look and sound almost like real French! Et ça c'est bien! 

And it will have been all down to you! You will have done the work - You will have taken the time to learn something that's really hard to learn (a foreign language).

At the end of this course you will be ready more than ever to read and listen to French and create your very own French sentences. They may be a bit more comedy French than you'd like (and I know you probably won't believe me) but your effort and perseverance will be rewarded with a huge feeling of satisfaction bubbling furiously out of your whole body and well deserved it will be! 

🖐️ Pssst....A lot of that just now was in the future (will) and future perfect (will have) - after this course you'll be able to have a good go at saying it in French! Ooh hark at you!!! 👂
